I will take several steps in this regard like:
Actively listen to him and in fact proactively ask him what are the priorities that he would like me to focus on that are most valuable from his perspective.
Focus on the priority projects and complete within the deadlines.
Shall take initiative in giving valuable suggestions to my leader to improve performance of entire team which saves costs for the group and adds to net profits.
Never try to dominate the leader and be respectful.
Show through my actions my passion to learn and contribute to growth of company.
Be a team player and synergy builder.
Show leadership traits in my personality through my behaviour, knowledge and actions.
Shall exhibit my expert knowledge of the subject.
Shall always follow the code of conduct of the organization including policy manuals and procedures.

Your team leader will appreciate you if you are doing your job well and being a good team member give some brilliant ideas to the team member to solve his issues and support the team
- First you have to listen for him to understand not to reply and understand his goals and concepts.
- you have to work within his scope or goal
- when you want to change or develop your area you have to present that as choice and the final decision is for him and should be apart of the development or the project (give him credit) and also you have to show you ideas with same language he believe.
- you have to give him credit externally and make him involved.
- never give him issues only you have to attach it with solutions.
Finally any managers want his team to look to the work with his style or way or goals if he see it apple all his team should see it apple , and if not you have to ask him to persuade you

The appreciation comes from within the employee, so you cannot ask for it; and if you ask it will not be an appreciation anymore, here are a few tips you may use:
1. Appreciate others: Appreciate the people working with you it will give them positive vibes and eventually it will lead to an environment change, which will be good for you and your fellow colleagues.
2. Present out of the box: Some people are hard to satisfy and hence its even harder to get an appreciation from them, show them your creative side, your capability to think beyond the ordinary, this will make them realize your potential.
3. Try their shoes: If he/she is not appreciating you means there is something not up to the marks as per the standards of their mind, try and find them, then work by those standards (this one will take time).
4. Wait for it: Sometimes it may feel that what you did was fantastic however still there was no appreciation or recognition, just give it some time. You did it once, you can surely do it again, so keep doing it and trust one day they will walk up to you and it will be loud; everyone will hear you getting recognized for your efforts.

-Give your ideas/best solution with out fail when sought your expertise

When the team faces an issue, try to be the one who suggests solutions to the problem instead of highlighting it. Instead of saying we have this problem in our system or this problem with one of our clients, try to say, well i noticed that we've been having this issue for some time and i suggest we do so and so.
Team leaders love it just love it when they hear suggestions for solving a problem instead of complaining.
