I prefer to write sql queries. Thanks.
Writing queries gives u a better understanding of what u r doing and u can better relate yourself to it. Even though builder is much more faster in joining but still it u might get lost if ur query is more complicated. So writing query all the way is recommended.
writing queries and using query builder
Writing queries help you learn a lot, especially when you have to troubleshoot performance related issues, and as a DBA, you have to look at a developer's code from time to time. So the best way to go about would be to write queries as so do I.
Using queries is more efficient as it is fast, more accurate and best of all.... easy to read and understand
Query writing is the basic skill that every DBA must have, I always write queries as per requirements and rarely use query builder.
I am a Oracle DBA not developer. But for automation and some required scripts have to write.
IF you have the complete understanding of what you are upto you can use query builder because, using query builder for debugging is very complexed and difficult task.
