In India, as per the Employment Law - a person is eligible to work if he/she is18 years of age and is deemed as an adult.
Each company may have their own policies about recruitment age based on their recruitment needs, however they do have to work within the framework of their Country's Employment Laws.

Age should be determined on the basis of recruiting position, company/organization during process of recruiting.
A fresh recruit for officials; the average age of successful candidates is approximately27.
The minimum age that candidates can apply is19.Factory personnel could be recruited between19 and23 age, for best physical energy.
But, in case of recruiting an Editor, A Chairman, An Executive, Vice-Chancellor etc, there must be age relaxed and emphasis to physical ability and professional experiences.
So age between40 to60 can be suitable like these positions.
The field marketing personnel age may be18 to21 for their fresh mind and effort.
