PT100 are Platinum Resistance Thermometers (or RTD) used for low range (below600 deg.
C) temperature measurements in the Industrial applications.

The Pt100 is a RTD used for measurement of temperature. It has resistance of 100 ohms at 0 degree celcius temperature. It can be used in temperature measurement applications (of any fluid) for temperatures  from 0 to 400 Degree celcius. Above 400 Degree Celcius Thermocouples are used.

you can use it in some thing when you want to know temperature of something like milk or l'eau in tank .
