Is it ideal to orient pupils in multiple choice in English,more especially L2 learners?

Its the new and latest adopted concept in any subject by seperating some marks for multiple choice question. so, in the case of grammer teaching you can use it.

Absolutely not!!!   It can only bring awareness of right/wrong concept regarding grammar for example, but can NEVER impart the ability to write or speak correct English.
  Nevertheless, it might prove useful in answering comprehension exercises, BUT at the same time deprive students of Hand-writing skills.
  It is not enough to realise the correct answer, but it is more important to acquire the ability to express oneself with a pen and paper.
