Pros of applying through recruiter:

- A decent recruitment consultant should know exactly what the employer is looking for so will be able to give you a lot of valuable information and tips to prepare for your interview and help you make a great first impression on the employer.

- The recruitment consultant can also advise on a fair package for you and negotiate the contract on your behalf if required.

Pros of applying directly:

- Cutting out the middle man to allow direct communication between yourself and the employer can speed up the process and decrease any risks of miscommunication/misunderstandings during the hiring process.

- Using a recruitment company to fill a vacancy is costly for organizations and is often used as a last resort approach, meaning that the employer is likely to first go through all their own candidates and CVs on file before considering any candidates coming through external recruiters.

Good recuitment agents are worth their weight in gold but they are not as common as you might think! A good one will act as a advertiser, marketer and screener for you as a HR manager and will only present thoes candidates who can actually perform the role effectively. I good recruiter will give a HR manager headaches because of the calibre of candidates to choose from. Appling to a company is fine except sometimes the email inbox for applications is monitored by a member of staff who may not have the knowledge to identify a good candidate from a CV or intimately know what is required beyond the JD. A recrument company (consultant) should and must know what is being sought and be on the look out for quality and competencies transferrible to any industry therefore selecting people who dont neccessarily neatly fit into the JD.

you have to go and directly apply to the company website instead of indirectly going to the recruiter. browse for company websites instead and get hired directly, follow up with the links posted in your company web page, this is possibly the best possible solution for your concern.

It is basically the luck factor and professionalism. Both approach are good and work. There is nothing as one approach is good and other is bad

No difference. HR certain functions has to be outsourced

If you see from the perspective of a person who desperatly needs a job, it really dosen't matter if he gets in from a recruiter or directly from the Company. When a person is hungry all he wants is food, it dosen't matter who gives it to him.

when we apply directly to company i think there will be no biasness instead if we apply through recriters than may be chances of any sort of favouritism.

The process is simple, while applying for jobs most of the candidates donot read the Job Description of available position that it should be related to their skill set and resume. They just read the Position title and apply for the position and then kept on waiting that why they are not getting response from organization or an interview call. You donot need any head hunter to search a job for you. Getting an interview call is an art and for that you have to meet yourself with the requirement of the organization. As a HR Professional i discared almost 20 to 30 Resume's everyday because they are totally irrelevant according to my requirement.

Wish you Best of Luck !!!
