Make sure the data which needs to be included in report is Repeatable and Reproducible
The most important tasks are:
I chalk out the main points that i want to hghlight and say through my reaserch. Then i go about detailing each of the pointers by guving relevant examples as well as statistics and how does it relate to the industry or company that i work for.
I first need to decide my basic framework. With my main topic or question as a central focus, jot down my initial thoughts and start to group these together …… Start to divide key ideas from subsidiary information, and continually ask myself if everything is relevant; if it isn’t, then delete it…… From my prior knowledge (from reading and lectures), I should be able to put together a fairly basic structure.
The report should be printed and formatted in an elegant, simple, clear and understandable manner, away from the complexities. The report should be reviewed before printing to ensure that it is error-free and systematically removed. .
I need to gather all relevent data
Before writing a report I had to better conceptualize the subject matter of the writing. Firstly, I shall write an executive summary of the writing then follow the objective, methodology and conclusion.
Gathering information and full knowledge of what the report is going to be about, as well as having full experience of the parts of the reprot and how you will start it and how you will manage to organize your words in a formal way.
It depends on the type of the report. If it is a data report, then you need to collect the data in an objective way using a standard audit tool based on the organization's policies and procedures, collect the data, enter them in a software as applicable, and release the report, review the data and enter in excel when needed for release, The format of the report should be easy to understand by the end user and bar graphs (or any other applicable) can be used for comparison and rankings to reveal improvement among the different specialties over the year. Release of data can be agreed upon as quarterly or based on the institution interest.
