If you're looking to have a good position in your company and you can handle what you have been asked to do then you should provide this assistance but with limits.
I mean not every time you are asked to do smith outside your job profile you do it because people will get used to that and if you refused to do it they will turn on you.

Once or twice I would provide assistance to show that I am flexible and can handle tasks outside of my job profile at the same time explain to them how I did it so that next time they won't have to ask again. But if somebody ask me to do something outside my job profile just because the person who is suppose to do it is busy talking on his/her phone, chatting with other employees in another department, roaming the office drinking tea, then I wouldn't.
