Cloud is really the future. Oracle's cloud business is growing almost3 times quater on quater so its a clear indicator of the demand for cloud services.

Oracle and SAP have a ton of applications, and that's where the real money will probably be in the cloud. (If I could tell the future, I'd be in a different job. ;-)Oracle and SAP (and other applications-focused companies) are moving as quickly to IaaS and PaaS and SaaS models as fast as they can. Sometimes, that isn't fast enough, because the small companies and start-ups are much more nimble. Sometimes, the value of the applications and the large customer bases are large enough to buy time for these companies to move.It's going to be an interesting couple of years ...(And yes, I work for Oracle.
