A leader should [almost] never aspire to be loved. Being loved, if it happens, is a bonus. It is not necessary and is not always desirable.
Being respected on the other hand, is very important, and in order to be respected you must first be accepted. Given that you have the authority of the management behind you, in a business environment there are usually two reasons why acceptance may be a problem. It can be either because you do not have the necessary skills, or the team believe you do not have these skills; of for personal reasons, such as the team was expecting one of there number to be promoted to the team leadership role. This is why it is important for a new team leader to ooze competence at the beginning. Personal things can be more difficult, and are best dealt with in a personal way.
To be respected there are a number of standard requirements which help - competence, obviously, but also fairness and consistency. Standing up for the team against the management, when appropriate, is also helpful.

Charisma, conviction, courage and a good EQ (emotional quotient i.e, understanding the feelings of others and aligning your emotions according to the situation).
The following will endear you to your subordinates, and naturally attract the desired obedience, respect and love:
Competence in what you are doing, courage to lead, charisma, ability to deliver on your targets, ability to instill confidence in your subordinates, empathy,firm in your decisions and a good listening ear.
Just make a habit of counselling in decision making as much as u can. Your decisions will be not only strong, viable and destined to success becoz every person will take it as own decision and strive for success. It will respected and obeyed
for a team leader to be loved is not important but if there is some love from your team that's good for fruitful work and respect is also not something that's just gifted but u should have to earn it from your team, respect your team and there you get respect back from them as well. But to be obeyed is really important for team members, obeying is the chain between team leader and team members which lead to success.
