An entrepreneur is 'an individual who sees an opportunity to sell an item at a price higher than the average cost of producing it (Colander,)'. He is the one that can visualize the need for a product in the market, assess the demand for it, then convince those that have the capital or factors of production that they would benefit and profit from producing his good/product.
The entrepreneur is not necessarily one person in particular; yet it can be the spirit of entrepreneurship embedded in all employees that take the initiative to solve and overcome organizational problems to supply a good that would render demand and profitability.
An entrepreneur is not necessarily interested only in achieving economic reward. The entrepreneur of this generation is also concerned with achieving social advantage.
