**Refer to CAT catalog ** : CAT engine model,KW & RPM-Overhaul intervals are mostly accurate based on fuel consumption where fuel consumption corresponds to the engine load @60 % load factor.Calculation of Overhaul intervals : H=F/R where F is total fuel consumption in liters of the engine,R is the rate of fuel consumption in liters/hr,H is the number of estimated hours until overhaul.Either in Top,Semi ,Major overhaul.
E3512 modal overhaule time is1000hours
When ever it requires engine's oil more than usual without leakage .
When ever become noisy .
if all required conditions are fulfilled it will take 20-30 hr.
Depends on what kind of overhaul. If top overhaul it takes2 to3 hours, but if totally overhaul take out piston changed piston ring and accesories it takes5 hours.
On a Full overhaul ? Really Depends on what you find when you actually get there as to how long it will take, in a budget conscious world you might find that although the generators hour meter shows that it may have reached an on paper overhaul requirment period, but when you actually get inside and find after extensive examination that there is less (or more) that requires to be replaced, that is when the average time goes out the window. But if pushed for an average a full engine overhaul may take anything between 25 to 35 hours of workshop time.
Again the depends on the unit as some come apart easily and some are stubborn old bears that fight you every step of the way
That will depend on the Engine model
At 15000 hrs top end overhauling and 45000 hrs major overhauling
10-15 hours depends on size and sst and other tools availability
It all depends with the size of the generator. An efficient technician would take16 hours on a1MVA
