Short Interval Control (SIC) is a factory-floor process that engages team members to review performance data three or four times within their shift to assess where they need to focus their efforts to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of production.

SIC can be described as a type of Kaizen process as it encourages teams to work together to achieve regular, incremental improvements to the manufacturing process.
