Yes, appearance do play a major role in representing yourself during an interview. However, if you really not qualified for the position you won't get that job even if you`ve dressed like a "model"

Thank you for your invite. Dress is not the influencing factor over the skills candidate must have that role requires. I have come across applicants who are absolutely broke or are not from very sound financial backgrounds, we focus on the skills and ability that candidate must have to be able to deliver what role is accountable for. Good dress can be bought by them when they are able to afford. We are able to judge their financial situation during the interview. Though if you can afford then you must be well dressed as it attracts attention of the interviewers. Contradictory to most of the experts, my consideration is the overall personality of the candidate and not the dress alone. Hope you are not disappointed by my answer.
