Breaking official secrecy by an employee is a serious crime for service. It is highly offensive and punishable.

 

An employee could be punished on breaking following official secrecy:

 

a)      Unnecessary entering into the restricted areas of office boundary.

 

b)      Preparation of sketch, map, plan, model or note which may helpful for enemy or opposite party.

 

c)      Leak out the secret password or code to opposite party or enemy.

 

d)      Passing out the official documents or legal papers to opposite party.

 

The punishment on breaking official secrecy may be as follows:

 

1.         Dismissal from service

 

2.         Demanding compensation from office to that employee

 

3.         Throwing prison custody with the government assistance.

An employee could be punished on breaking official secrecy believing that there is rules and regulations guiding the said company: -The said employee needs to be heard out first, i.e reasons for such act to avoid such occurance in future.
The Employer should try as much as possible to know the content of the whole issue.
-They can now pass judgement through the findings.
