I totally agree with Mahmoud, although it can be easy for each little piece to loose sight of the goal of the complex problem you are trying to solve. So I advice when solving the little pieces, always keep the goal as the end product that is to be realised in solving each little piece, this way collectively the complex problem with not be so complex.
