It really depends on the field you are applying to. Most people now are hiring young graduates because they are up to date on everything especially being that everything or most everything happens through technology.

If it is a fully technical position a young talented guy is apt, But if the position is more over a managerial level or a decision maker role, an experienced guy will be apt for the position, reason is "EXPERIENCE BEAT AGE BARRIERS"
