In automotive field there are different types of warranties are given to a new vehicle, in which we can divide it into two normal warranty and extended warranty. here the question is about the vehicle warranty and drive line warranty, in which vehicle warranty comes under normal warranty when a new vehicle is brought from a dealership. And it has limited time period like two years/3 years/5 years or like100000/200000/300000 kms. the vehicle warranty means it covers the whole vehicle for a prescribed period that has given by the manufacturer, but it excludes some parts like tyre, brake pads etc due to its wear & tear properties. And if any thing happens to the vehicle non other than accidents that problem will be solved by the manufacturer side through dealerships mainly through parts replacement or through repairing and solving the issue. but it will not cover the damage caused by customer side like adding gadgets to the vehicle system or tampering the electrical system of the vehicle which is strictly prohibited by the manufacturer.

The second one is the Drive-line warranty, in this warranty it covers only to the engine-transmission & drive train system. Some manufacturers are giving this as life time warranty without taking extra money from the customer and some manufacturers are giving this Driveline warranty as Extended warranty, in which customer need to pay some amount of cash to the manufacturer through dealerships. This warranty will cover the engine, transmission & drive-train system and if any trouble caused to these parts due to the internal problems non other than external issues (like accidents or customer putting additional parts to the system or putting lube which is prohibited by the manufacturer or alteration), it will be Repaired or replacement of parts will be taken to solve the issue from manufacturer side. in this drive line warranty any repair or replacement happens to these systems, the cost will be beared by the manufacturer. Customer only need to pay the money for the Lubes which was not covered under warranty
