How is job hunting related to Age on the international Market?

I am looking for a job of Project Management but am not getting the response i expected. Just wondering if Aged 50 is a strong factor?

the most recognized project managers are the top certified and experienced at their field, however, age will not be considered in the equation as there are many 20s and 30s talented PMs.

Experience they say is the best teacher and in acquiring this, one must to have done series of jobs through the years which may be concurently runing over 15 - 25 years, getting this age on a job in international markets largely show that one is almost becoming an expert on the job and the ranking that such a fellow will be getting is incomparable with a new comer to such a job.

I believe the senior roles are less as compared to the junior roles in the Market.
