What are the advantages of using 3 point resection over 2 point resection when surveying an unknown point with a theodolite?

definitely3 point resection is more accurate than2 point resection.2 point resection is dangerous because its will not show error whereas there erroe is existing in resection. but in3point resection if ur points are in good angles it will be best resection.

3 point resection may take a little more time than a2 point resection, but will definitely have a better fixed position with a3 point resection.
