I would prefer to work in sales as it is challenging job:

  • setting target and meet the target then put stretched target and so on.
  • required strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • leadership.
  • competitiveness.
  • able to deal with multicultural customers.
  • capable to attract peoples' attention easily.
  • some people can succeed by nature.
  • is not a routine job.
  • it mostly depend on creativity     so it a nice job to be preferred in my point of view.

I would rather be working in Logistics.  Logistics relates to material handling and shipping of goods.  Sales is all about meeting targets and about convincing customers of your products/services.

In Logistics you are the strong part of the equation yet in Sales you are the weak part of the equation.

I would prefer logistics, I have worked in both and tho sales can sell there is not the same satisfaction as when you physically make something happen, especially something "impossible".

Dear all,

I'd agree with almost every one. However, I'd agree the most with what has been stated by Mr. Shahid Khan, Country Manager, which I Quote Below.

" Both Sale & Logistics are inter-dependent and are equally important & challenging in their own way. "

Further, I'm a Logistics Manager & I love what I'm doing ,but personally if I were to choose , I'd choose sales due to the flowing :

1- In sales you get to meet a lot of different kind of people & from different Countries.

2- You get to travel to many places & I love to travel, it's my nature.

3- The sales work less & they get better raise & promotion because they're simply noticed by the Management for meeting their targets, while Logistics are only people who're making deliveries in the eyes of the Management & that's what we are all about to them .

That's it I don't want to say any more.

B rgds,

Khalid S Alghunaim

I would prefer logistics, Sales is based on target only but Logistics is handling materials and dispatching goods ontime, and customer satisfaction, and it is based on both brain and physical work, so it will give satisfaction in job..

I am a Logisticians, so i prefer to work Logistics rather than the sale department. Both of these department has their own challenges and are part of the operation of the company. Logistics is a deversified roles which i sale is part of the roles. for example, logistic provide after sale service by providing truck to despatch materials/stuff sold to the customers.
