SAFTA covers all the members countries of SAARC which are8 countries now, Afghanisatan being the latest entrant. So, the correct answer here is the option 'e'

 Correct answer. But SAFTA has not been successful like the EEC,ECC or ASEAN. We need to solve the problem of internal conflicts1st. It will never succeed if some member countries do not give the most favored Nation treatment for Indian imports as India remains the dominant player in the region in terms of geographical size, population and strength of the economy. China however powerful it may be cannot cross the Himalayan barrier to challenge India's dominance in the region.
