Unfortunately, it's only because we live in the "right now" era. With all the technology that we develop, there's no time anymore to give a look back in History.

History is very often packaged and understood to be a bundle of dates and events of the past. This does not seem to resonate very well with so many since they are preoccupied wyh the "now".It is unfortunate, because we create history even as we speak. Simply put History is profound dialogue between the past and the present

  1. History is not seen as something that people can relate to in their present lives.  Some people have the concept that what is in the past should stay in the past.  Many people, especially young people, only live in the here and now.  Unless the interpretation of history can be made accessible and relevant its importance will not resonante within a culture where the "future" holds more importance.  It's the job of the cultural educator to therefore make history "come alive" for the public consumer.
