1. Product knowledge, including the SWOT analysis of your products & the competitors

2. Well understand the real requirement from customers/market

3. Pro-active to pursue the business opportunities

4. Be a good listener than speaker

5. Well coordination with other people (marketing, services, finance, legal, etc.)

6. Be smart & hard worker

Their are many sales skills,the most important are:

Aggressive - To sustain in a competitive market one should be aggressive in sales.

Hunger for Incentives - Without this one can be an average sales person.

Politeness - one should be polite with the customers,colleagues and with everyone to sustain in a business.

Never Lie - If sales base based on a lie then the surely is possible to loose the deal....Better convince the customer by telling the truth instead of confusing the customer by telling the Lie..
