Yes, but it depends on how one sees and uses technology in his life. Here are my thoughts on negative impacts of technology to humanity:
- People tend to rely on web browsers than actually reading books.
- Web browsers are open. Even children can access sites that should only be limited to adults. (Despite age restrictions, one can deter his age to access such.)
- There is an increase in numbers of pedophiles.
- There are so many bashers, causing conflicts and disrespect of someone's point of view.
- People rely on technology than exerting more effort. (Unproductive)
- Increased in health problems.
As previously mentioned, Technology is a tool and its outcome, positive or negative, depends on the user actions.
Advances in Technology have created countless positive impacts on society, however it also incurs to negative ones when the use given to it is not the most appropriate. It has helped us to get very far in many aspects, however it has made us go backwards in some others. Grieve, ignorance and lack of ethical principles and values during decision making are some of the factors that create a negative outcome from technology.
Guys,
Technology is a tool. Human in inventing tools since Adam.
Every tool needs to operate is a specific way, to function properly.
How and how much we have to use the tool of technology. No body else in the world can decide. Its a individual's decision.
In fact Technology do not have a negative impact on society. Its the misuse and extra-use of tech which is some how effecting society.
Yes technology have negative impact on humanity
Example : if you use a key board and keep it on your legs than it may be effect your sex because key board continously spreed rays which is not good for human.
Huge amount of negatives unfortunately, such as:
Lack of modesty, too much x-rated material available to all (especially to minors), lack of patience with the current generation that are so used to getting things quickly...I could go on. Of course technological advances have provided so much too, like exceptional levels of knowledge sharing, and people power as evidenced by Twitter and other view based social media channels.
Yes, it has. It cancels the human interactions and skills associated with it through replacing them with electronic interactions, which turns us into machine-likes, affecting our human features.
From a lazy approach, it is a blessing.
From a constructive purpose, its of course negative in few cases. it hinders your thoughts as it works on your behalf. from simple computing to high tech processes, your mind sits idle....just idle...
From another approach, its Lords gift......
Ask me, its a curse......as we can kill thousands by just clicking a button in an apache.
The positive that it has contributed to further progress in our lives which is an important part but it has negatively impacted the people acts who becomes relying more on technologies to meets their affairs unlike previous days .Big example the evolving of the internet and mobile phones few later the IOT bringing more laziness to the human being .
