Recently, I have noticed that some companies are forgetting what their business is all about "THE PEOPLE", and focusing more of best practices, best policies, best process, best strategy....and so on, without reference from the people.
I recall watching a video on TED where the speaker said a phrase that made me realize the statement above. He said "the End-Result or Goal is a happening fact, its the feeling of going through the experience of reaching it that matters".
The profit of any company is guaranteed and a logical result if the emotion of experience involved in the process is right. To put it in another way, anyone who is doing any job will finish it and will learn and gain experience, but if the job is done with enthusiasm and challenge, then the result would be much more and greater. The keywords is emotions.
Simon Sinek, A trained ethnographer, he is the author of : the global best seller,Start With Why, has made a statement which summarizes my scattered thoughts. "Imagine a world where people wake up every day inspired to go to work, feel safe while they are there, and return home at the end of the day feeling fulfilled by the work they do, feeling that they have contributed to something greater than themselves."
Thumbs up to all the companies that actually invest in their people, have a Human Resources department that actually serve the human resources, and that understands that their employees are their first customers, first marketers, first public to relate to.
