Good evening.  The sum of the deviations from the mean of a measurement is always equal to0. The proof is as follows:

 

Σ(xi−x¯)=Σxi−Σx¯=Σxi−x¯Σ1=Σxi−x¯.n=Σxi−Σxi=0
