I look to the title more than the author and if I like the book then maybe I will look to the author to search about more books for him/her

The authors I like to read changes with the topic I am into reading... at times it is related to crime or Egyptian mythology, then certain authors take preference over others.....

I have more than one favourite author :) for example for the Gothic literature I like Edgar Allan Poe, Equestrian and adventure I like Alexander Dumas, and for Satiric literature my favourite is Bernard Shaw.

I do not believe to stick to one author because you will get too used to the way they write. This will infulence the way you use English in life. My advise is read anything because this will help you with English. There is no tradition in reading!!!!
