Victim is unresponsive. Shout for nearby help. Activate emergency response system via mobile device (if appropriate). Get AED and emergency equipment . Look for no breathing or only gasping and check pulse (simultaneously). Is pulse definitely felt within 10 seconds. Provide rescue breathing: 1 breath every 5-6 seconds, or about 10-12 breaths/min. • Activate emergency response system (if not already done) after 2 minutes. • Continue rescue breathing; check pulse about every 2 minutes. If no pulse, begin CPR (go to “CPR” box). • If possible opioid overdose, administer naloxone if available per protocol. CPR Begin cycles of 30 compressions and 2 breaths. Use AED as soon as it is available.

30 chest compressions and 2 ventilations ratio all group age. However for 2 rescuer we can do the 15 compression and 2 ventilation for child and infant victim. Always remember the "PAMA"

P-ush hard and fast

A-llow chest recoil

M-inimized interuptions

A-void excessive ventilation

and before doing it make sure the scene is SAFE and of course, patient is pluseless and breathless. :D

CPR ratio is 30 chest compressions is to 2 rescue breaths for Adult and for infants(0-2 yrs) its 15 chest compressions is to 2 rescue breaths.

Please Note:- 1. You continue with CPR until 5 cycles or until medical aid arrives.

                       2. In order to give CPR there should be no pules and no breathing present.

For Adults is compression and2 breaths / ventilation x5 cycles to be completed in2 minutes. If the patient has no pulse and breathing. Continue Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation until help arrives.

If you suspect that the patient has communicable disease and you do not have any device for re-breathing the patient, you can just compress the chest of the patient to- compressions per minute total of- chest compressions in2 minutes and check for the pulse of the patient and breathing.
