Philip Kotler is the father of marketing and and has numerous tips about marketing management.

Here are a few that he presents in his presentation in Expo Management Madrid focused on Marketing3.0.

Tip1  -   Establish a web site where people register in order to bulk up your database.

Tip2 -   Buy databases that illuminate the activity of your consumers in order to learn more about who is buying your product

Tip3  -  Encourage consumers to send emails with questions, interests and ideas in order to create a more flexible, learning relationship with them. Co-create with clients!

Tip4 -   Increase marketing content for current and future consumers that give you their permission

Tip5 -   Offer coupons (such as Cool Savings or Netbonus) or samples (Samples.com)

Tip6 -   Monitor social conversations and look for opinions and trends. For example, Kotler has an account on Google+ to monitor what people are saying about him. If he can do it, you can!
