The different levels of the CIPD show the level of understanding an individual has in regards to Human Resources. It also shows to others that for a person to have achieved the level of Chartered status of the CIPD (Chartered MCIPD) that this individual has been assessed and judged to be of a senior manager level within the Human Resources function.
