No. Social media sometimes is used to promote rumors and gossip, specially that it lacks the proficiency of news reporting, so i can't simply believe all that i read over these sites.
Not always. Each and every social media news/update require secondary evidence to vet its authenticity.
I think it can but only when used wisely. Using social media site in the traditional sense of 'Here's my product...buy it' is pointless. However indirect marketing and product placement can prove effective in building product knowledge and awareness.
I think trust only develops with time and with social media sites there is a distinct lack of authentication, verification and international journalistic standards. For these reasons I would always be wary of the news distributed through this channel.
Yes, they have proven the ability to report the latest news faster and more accurately.
not all the time.. some news may be false
Social media nowadays is the fastest channel of information.. we get hot news from social media... but I will only trust the news from the known sources.. not like unofficial sources ð
Good question.
The act of trust itself is an accumulative behavior that is built throughout a period of time.
Building trust in social media is no difference than building trust in conventional media, which I don't trust by the way.
Knowing the social media website sources of news, code of ethics, source of funding and credibility of its reporters are fundamental elements in building trust in them or no.
