What is the diffrence between 6 sigma and lean 6 sigma?

Six Sigma focuses on defects and how to eliminate the root-cause of it

LEAN Six sigma uses the tools and instruments of six-sigma but looks at the whole value chain putting the consumer and customer first

Simply: LEAN six sigma =6 sigma tools + lean tools + kizen

six sigma focus on reducing the variation and lean focus on reducing the west 

six sigma depend on the statistics tools and deep analysis for the data 

lean depend on lean tools like KAIZEN ,KANBAN.SMED ETIC 

Six Sigma and Lean :- ( you will get the difference in this example )

Assume making the ball in the net is meeting customer expectations and thus hopefully generating revenue.

• Six Sigma:-       -- Improve effectiveness & Reduce the variability so that the ball goes into the net all the             time regardless of the shooter and the ball.... ( Accuracy and Quality ).
• Lean :-

                   -- Improve efficiency &  Reduce the number of steps in the process so that you get more balls                          in  the net with less shooter ..... ( Timeliness, Reduce non value added , Quantity )

Dear Sir, it is a common and very important question, i may give you a hint;

6 sigma focus only on deviation and non-conformity, or you can say it is DMAIC (define, measure, analyze, improve, control)  to a certain process to reach3.4 defect per million opportunity.

And lean as you know, it is simply a waste elimination.

--> Lean6 Sigma  is a combination between these two techniques to reach the best customer satisfaction and more profit.
