All stages of procurement are quite challenging. The hardest lesson in my view is as follows:

  • To determine correct size and specification of  the product  and the quantity of the product.
    • By determining the correct size and specification, we can ensure proper installation, rational use  and minimize cost. e,g. if we need to KVA Generator, we should not procure more than KVA as this will cost higher, will  take more space for installation, use unnecessary more fuel and also maintenance will be costlier.
    • By fixing the quantity, we can best utilize the storage space for limited period and then transfer to actual place of use.
