Is there really a need for training?

Training is always considered with low priority at many organizations. It can add value to employees if a training is provided and according to me a candidate may have a domain expertise but will have to understand the process/procedure differences at an organization. I personally feel that training can help employees to speed up with the process and towards work at the same time understand the companies’ awareness and learn to adapt the change.

Do all employees need training?

I do agree with Randy for his answer however I would like to look at it in a different aspect we all learn or get trained to specialize on our day to day task to provide better performance. All employees may have to undergo the necessary training that can produce targeted and tangible results for the organization and the individual’s growth.

How will the training move us closer to our goals?

As I stated earlier, training can help us in many ways by increasing the employees performance which can enhance the growth of the company. As most employees are not self-driven hence a training can help them understand their job/ task which can lead for an increase in performance. Great leaders promote training as a key factor because most successful companies have grown to the peak because of emphasizing employees to be trained on courses that best suit them.

I guess I have answered your questions.

Actually, you have3 questions (smiled).

Is there really a need for training?

- it will depend on the nature of job but in some cases... (moving to your2nd question)

Do all employees need training?

- no! once you hire for example, you already screens suitable candidates having the skills for the job you require

How will the training move us closer to our goals?

- training (formal training/externally acquired) will move you closer to goal if the intended purpose of training is to equipped you with new skills needed for the job (if you will be promoted or if you're a good employee but lack certain skills to fully perform).

Other one, informal training or internally acquired from your senior, supervisor or manager will give you what you require to produce good performance for them so it will not only move you closer... they will put you exactly to the achievement of their goals, as a team you will be part of it, of his success (must be, if you do as told and learn).

Hope this help!
