As an HR personnel we act as a mediator between Management and Employees. In the above mentioned situation we should have a clear conversation with the employee before we go ahead with any of the proceedings of disciplinary action.
We should make the employee understand that the data he is sharing or has shared is very sensitive and as an employee he has the responsibility to protect company image and privacy of the company to maintain the goodwill of the organization in the market.
As per UAE LAW Article, if the employee is sharing the secret information to others employer preserves the right to terminate his services with our notice and without any compensation towards notice period and end of service benefit.
We should make the employee understand the circumstances and ask for the explanation in writing and make sure he will not repeat it in near future.
But if the employee repeats the same behavior in near future we reserve all the right to terminate his services.
