AHU (Air Handling Unit):
Uses Partly fresh air & partly Return Air from room & conditions it as per design requirement.
FAHU (Fresh Air Handling Unit):
It handles total fresh air (no return air). Generally takes air from atmosphere & cools down it to less temperature, which can then be supplied into common areas / AHU / any other area as per design requirement.
Advantage:
When used in series with AHU, It lowers the fresh air temperature & thus reduce the load on AHU coil.
