ما هو الأكثر تأثيرا فى أداء الموظفين، الراتب أم المزايا؟
If you critically examine the effect of both on employees, in my opinion, both the elements have obviously some influencing role over performance. From my experience point of view, the salary has got overwhelming influence in the employee’s performance than benefits.
Salary gives the more purchasing power as per the individual’s requirement and it plays a role in identifying the position/ importance of an individual in an organization and feels good. Whereas, benefits are more or less fixed and all elements of benefit may not be that useful for the employees.
Besides, salary does have an impact on the turn over rate of employees in an organization. Remember that good salary means less turn over.
The interview is the only mean where you can identify what the employee desire and most beneficial for him/her. Some employees prefer to have more benefits than having a high salary as these benefits will cost them a lot. Others who are mainly single prefer to have a high salary because they wont be using most of the benefits. It also depends on the position itself. for example if we are talking about a sales person then having a car allowance will be better than having a high salary only. Another thing, if the employee is a foreigner accommodation, visa, medical insurance plus a good salary are essential. According to my personal opinion a good combination between both the salary and the benefit that they employee will really use is the best thing and that will be best determined by asking the employee what he/she prefer in the interview.
As regard to employees performance I presume that recognition in any form for employees contribution is an effective tool.
At times even a word of appreciation is very motivating.
As regard to salary package, Nourhan Darwesh has given an excellent input.
I would say none of the mentioned. Salary increase affects performance for about two weeks. It's the non monetary things that keeps up performance for longer period of time.
I think the salary is more important than the benefits. With it, you have bigger purchasing power if you have a higher salary.
Benefits have limited uses. Take medical insurance for example; it is used only whenever you are sick, ill, injured...

Salery is most important as well as extra benefits force any one to perform extra ordinary performance.

I think both are so important, but benefits remain more influent than salary on employees performance as they consider it some kind of appreciation to their efforts and they always try top do their best to get higher benefits.
I would like to comment on this ,if an employee salary is at medium ,increase in salary works a lot expect high performence that what really he/she needs. If an employee is geeting good pay then adding extra benefits would incerase his/ her performance. It also benefit for both organization and employee as well.
