I would never leave a project unfinished even if meant doing overtime, or I could take with me back home to have it ready and finished for when I am back in work , next day

If you need to work overtime, it means that time tables were wrong in a first place. In any case, you have to work over time in order to complete it and afterwards you have to go back and check out what went wrong and fix it.

  • I understand that the job may require additional hours when deadlines are to be met. My current job requires me to work overtime sometimes; of course, I get compensated for additional hours spent.  I understand that this line of PROFESSION will need some extra hours during the year and I don’t mind it at all.  I have been doing this for7  years.

It depends on the responsibilities on your shoulder. if I have to complete a task then I can work overnight and weekends…………. after that I will be happy that I have completed my job on time. .

I believe its a matter of time management. All the projects have timelines for carrying out the deliverable associated with it and good managers ensure that these timelines are followed to avoid any delays and hiccups in the project. Most of the time the projects are executed within the allocated and approved time frames. However, in case of contingent projects, the staff works over shift to meet the deadlines and in such cases the word 'over time' becomes an alien word.

Yes, the extra time you add will creat a value added, but rather than just using this narrow window called overtime I rather will work on my schedules and plans to stay away of delays and deliver on time

I'm not a multitasking, I'm sole task orientated, that means I cannot focus on other tasks unless, I complete it, I don't postpond nor change, I must complete what I have started, even if it means working overtime, the sooner I get it done, the more good it looks for me.
