Facebook and Twitter are just2 social medias ..... but I do not think it is appropriate for customer service unless your company has a website with these medias.
You also got to watch out what is fact and opinion on social medias and twitter I can do without...
I would say your own website with the opportunity for your customer to connect with your customer service via email or instantly having a customer service representative giving you answers ... is in my opinion the better choice
I believe that facebook comes in first place because of the number and the variety of the active users.
Social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter have evolved to become more than emergent platforms for marketing and advertising. Increasingly, they are also valid and important channels through which consumers solicit and receive customer service. According to Nielsen's Social Media Report, nearly half of U.S. consumers use social media to ask questions, report satisfaction, or to complain—and a third of social media users prefer "social care" to the phone.
There is no better community than the other. The geographic region you are based in, product or services you are offering has a bigger role to play in determining which platform to use. Can someone in China use Facebook and Twitter for customer services? The obvious answer is "No". They will definitely use "Weibo"
According to research, Facebook is the top social media platform in the world, then YouTube2nd and Twitter3rd.
in my country (Instagram) is the most popular , but in general facebook and twitter

Facebook comes first then Twitter,
Agreed with all, if I have to chose only one, then it is "FACEBOOK".
i can't chose one over the other all of them have something special and important in there unique way but if i had to chose i'm gonna go with FACEBOOK
Definitely Facebook. But you also need to consider the diversity settling in the current Target Audience in terms of preferences. Snapchat is a hot property which will emerge as one of the most followed in. Similarly Instagram has just started to advertise and surely they will see a rise in their popularity for brands and consumer engagement. YouTube is one platform where we can address a large chunk of audience with an audio visual treat.
