To assure business effectiveness you have to follow the following steps:

  1. Set an overall quantified objective. for example a1,, us$ out of,, us$ revenue.
  2. Set a KPI (Key Performance Indicator) for each organizational unit that help in achieving the overall objective. The KPI should be quantified as well even for support function units.
  3. Set KPI's reference which mean how would you read the quantified achievement of each KPI. for example: Sales Report for Sales KPI, Turn over for HR & Recruitment team, Aging of Debts for Finance .... etc.
  4. Set a periodical monitoring and revision regime which would enables you to check the deviation of set KPI vs Achievement.
  5. Run collective brain storming for setting corrective actions in case of proven deviations.
  6. Revise KPI's if needed to comply with the results gained.
  7. It is a continuous process for all active organizations

effectiveness of business? simple, if the business is bringing you more money or profit then it's effective but if you are loosing more money instead of gaining or business going downhill then try to re-assess and see what pain-points your business have and fix it.
