What does it mean when someone says to another person: "I can't find your sliver lining"?

The metaphor by it self means: Silver lining (idiom), a metaphor for optimism in the common English-language idiom "Every cloud has a silver lining" So My best guess was "I can't find the bright side about you"... opinions?

Yes, essentially it means that you can't see anything good about that person, as if it were a dark cloud with no bright shades (yep, that's the original meaning).
