civil engineer is a human, he likes the work which he feels he is important and affected.
You should ask; Building, Roads, Dams, Bridges, in Where is a civil engineer more suitable and comfortable ? my answer would be that regardless of the project nature or function, the work of the civil engineer depend more on his function and personality, bridges, dams or buildings, are constructions in which knowledge could differ from one to another. But there is a lot of skill that are independent from the core knowledge, engineers usually learn quickly and know how to adapt to a new knowledge field.
For civil engineers ,wherever they will work in dams , highways and/or buildings there are not big differences between the various projects , , so I think the situation depends on where you will work and for whom you will work.
The term CIVIL is generated from the civilization means that the civil engineers are mainly responsible to build countries civilizations and that's why the civil engineer is one capable to build roads, stations, infrastructures, buildings, bridges, tunnels, towers, rails, dams, airports, .......etc.
Civil Engineer shall serve at any place and whatever complex project he assigned to he is only the one to do it easily, safely and on time with high quality by good plans, organizations and logical thoughts.

Civil engineering it's one of hard jobs, a civil engineer it's my study actually it's a job for building roads and bridges and big constructions and this work is for big socities.
and it's of course not easy job but it's so important in the world cause we can not '' leave'' buildings !
