As a staff, how often you want your boss/manager to discuss with you about your areas of improvement? Any suggestion?

Just describe what's your feelings about it.  Sometimes we want our manager to sit with us weekly basis or monthly basis and discuss our areas of improvement and on the other side we take it negative as well stating that "boss always point out the weakness".

I'm glad that you asked this question.  I was just recently talking about this with a friend and she was complaining that her employers never take the time to come and discuss the business progress with her or look to see if she what her progress is.  I couldn't say how often your employees would benefit from regular meetings on the matter, this would depend on how often they need it.

There is a new trend in the States that managers are following in this respect.  They frequently visit their subordinates and "chat" to keep the personalization of the company and its owners/managers real.  This is very effective I believe because this minimizes the fear that the  employees tend to associate with 'being checked up on' just to be reprimanded or scrutinized.

I would happy to receive the comments from the superior or from team to accommodate any new things for delivering the work in better way as it will definitely improve my knowledge. so constructive criticism will definitely help one to improve oneself if taken with positive attitude. When it comes interval, there no need to be any specific period as such, if boss finds some one is doing good appreciating such good work will lead to motivation to do better and more responsible and at the same time if finds some lacking then letting the employee to know to improve himself in that area then and there is good i feel. Thanks.
