Do you think that Plan B is just as important as Plan A?

Do you usually incorporate a plan B into your initial planning requirements?  What about plan C?  Do you agree that having an alternative plan is important? Why?

Plan B is just a sequence action of Plan A. When for example you can't reach what you are seeking for, u just move to plan B to manage  things and take the right decision to provide a good result as you were expecting. So it is important both and should be taken into consideration :)

I think it will be more important because it takes your brain deeper into resolving a problem

Definitely Yes, I agree that it is very much important and a requirement for a business to continue in case of any contingencies are arise. Therefore equal importance should be given to conduct the business with out any disturbance or hassles for Plan B as well in case of any contingencies. My2 cents. Thanks.

One should always maintain momentum and pace in whatever he's doing. I think by developing a plan A, you should always keep plans B, C and D in mind. This way you will have resilience and agility to keep moving regardless of the circumstances that you may come across. Simple having Plan A, and B is like relying on binary opposition which doesn't work most of the time. Life is not Black and White. You must have a colorful set of options that you can explore endlessly.

Of course it is, because the plab B is in reality a Plan A in a different situation, before making a plan, you must creat some scenarios, so for your first scenarios, the one you think that the probability of hapening is big, you make a plan A, but also for another situation you have to make a plan you call plan B, so a plan B, C or D are important the same as a Plan A.

Categorically not.  Every second spent on Plan B makes Plan A more likely to fail.

It is often advisable to have an idea of what Plan B might be in case Plan A does fail, but spending any resources on Plan B beyond the absolute minimum is somewhere between foolishness and madness.

What is important is figuring out what obstacles Plan A might meet and how you will get round those obstacles.
