As an internal auditor, how often do you participate in continuous education?

A successful internal auditor, whether possesses the CIA designation or not, will always seek to ‎continuously educate him/herself by means of reading articles and research report covering matters ‎relating to internal audit, accounting, IT ,business and other related subjects . Attending webinars is ‎another way of doing this. Although most of the webinars are expensive and/or require memberships ‎‎,there are some really good free webinars that you can take advantage of such as :‎ ‎- BrightTalk (https://www.brighttalk.com) :‎ This website provides a wide range of free professional webinars .Registration is required and it is ‎free.‎ ‎- MetricStream (http://www.metricstream.com) :‎ This website provides free webinars relating to GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance).‎ I hope that you are able to take advantage of the above webinars ‎

Audit and Internal audit  are multidisciplinary functions. All round knowledge is required for these. All knowledge is required especially for a professional internalauditor and auditor. So I should say professional updation is going on day today basis.Newspapers also give valuable inputs at times. I visit my ICAI office frequently and interact.
