When supervising your orgnization you may find that delegating authority is the most difficult and complex task required of your position. You've worked hard to achieve your position of authority and trusting your employees to work and care as much as you do is hard to fathom. But it has to be done; so how do you do it?
1 Concise and clearness
Describe the goal - knowing the outcome - do not share with task team because it allowance space for creativity.
2 Organizational Power
Be assertive that the team will get the job done.
3 Accepting
Make sure the team understands the task ahead and responsibility of finishing the task on time and sticking with the task.
4 Feedback loop
Make sure you have oversight of what is going on during this process and communication is the key in for progress.
5 Decisive
Show that you are in control if the an employee is deviating from the original task.
1. Formally delegate the authority (in writing).
2. Communicate it to those who need to know.
3. Indicate to the delegatee the responsibilities they face, how they connect with the broader. organizational goals and set expectations.
4. Request for feedback at specific times.
5. Provide them with the resources they need (if any).
