         i.            External fit ( fitting HR strategy to organizational strategy)

       ii.            Internal fit ( linking the various HR programs to other functional areas and to each others.)

External fit relates to activities that the organisation develops to respond to the external environment. Internal fit focuses more on how organisational and HRM systems are connected within the organisation
