As an Engineer , Studying Engineering management would be a great assets for you as it merge the business experience with the technical experience and it deserve any kind of difficulties you may face, on other hand I would encourage you to search for many schools in your area of residence and decide about their rating and reputation as well in order to ensure an adequate level of learning MBA certification would be a good example of these Engineering Management certification that covers wide range of knowledge that are mostly important for senior engineers.

First Obstacle will be understand operational coordiantion between variuos entities working in new place. I have to quickly catch up with mechanism in place. Obstacle would be lack o fhelp from existing structure.
2nd obstacle would be resistance to change for improvemnt as everyone thinks he is doing best in present atmosphere.
Engineering management study is all togather different from being a qualified engineer. It encompasses Engineering Economics and insight of Basic Financial knowledge like Budgeting and Financial Analysis. It also covers Project Management , Good Engineering Practices and Maintenance Management Systems.
In any organisation any Engineering Activity, Project or Solution need to take into account non-engineering element such as Pay Back Period , Capital Investment , ROI etc, Project Time Lines and Maintenence Budget.
If one goes into an Engineering Management school with out having a prior work experience with exposure to above non-engineering elements would make your programm tougher and not yield promising academic results.
The obstacle of human change toward the dynamic environement in technology advancement.
The Specifications of the various desciplines are most crucial.
My best advise to you is concentrate on learning the fundamentals thoroughly. Although grades/marks are very important but I would suggest giving higher precedence to learning than grades, if possible.
Obstacles in any carrer field are part of people barrier set up in their own minds. Free your mind and you will not find any barriers in your life.
there is a few obstacles which i have must face in this field knowledge have a great importance so i will try to make strong my knowlege about this field
