What is more important when hiring an individual, youthful and educated or older, more experienced and worldly wise?

i really hope experienced and older, i am45 and looking for a job.i am finding it hard as most jobs restrict the age of applicants up to45.

lets see i've been in the job market for a year now,hope to break ground soon.

As I commented to Mr Amer's answer, it doesn't depend on the age. You might be well educated and don't have an experience but creative and smart enough to be better than any older, experienced candidate and vise versa. I guess it also depend on the position itself Too.

and in my opinion age shouldnt matter , should be educated , experinced.

It often depends on the position, a young manager with little or no track record, supervising a workforce where70% have read the book, seen the film and got the 'T' shirt - Not a good plan in my opinion unless the guy is a specialist.
